We have had a number of offers of help which is very much valued and encouraging. If you want to help here are are few tips.
At the moment our greatest need is to get the survey out to as many people as possible. If you could forward the link that would be great. We will then need to analyse the feedback and see how this changes our provisional aims and objectives. On the basis of the new and revised aims we will then need to call for membership.
Our next greatest need is cash - seed cord funding! Current volunteers are looking to pay upwards of £200.00 and some have indicated a willingness to pay £500.00+. The money is at risk, but if we get the number we need it will be set against eventual membership subscriptions. Any cash you can provide to pay for basics such as company set-up at companies house, admin support, the web site etc. will be very helpful. Cheques made payable to ‘The Wood Heat Association’ and sent c/o Mike Reed at Graigwith Farm, Llangybi, Usk, Mons. NP15 1NZ.
The set-up teams function areas and main tasks are listed below and if you think you can help in any of these then please feel free to send an email via the [email protected] address to one of the names listed below and it will be passed on.

- Building an interested and active membership through consultation and involvement
- Determining the structure, purpose and key priorities of the WHA based on feedback from members
- Identifying the back-office and support functions needed to deliver against the agreed aims and priorities
- Developing funding streams to support the WHA, including a membership fee structure and grant support
- Recruiting of staff to perform the administrative and support functions
