Robert Bland, Acting Chairman of the new Wood Heat Association said “as the market for wood heating grows, so do the challenges – to keep up with new legislation and to continually strive to improve the quality of the service we provide to customers.

There is a real need for the Wood Heat Industry to work together to coordinate its efforts and to be represented by a professional association which aims to, represent, inform, lobby and promote this developing marker.

The WHA will represent the interests of its members as directed by the members”, asked what he saw as the difference between the WSG and WHA, he added “the WSG is heavily biased towards the wood fuel suppliers within the forestry industry and it certainly has a role to play, however the WHA has a wider role to support and promote fuel suppliers as well as boiler installers, consultants, educators and others within the wood heat industry.
